As Phauren crouched in the snow, hunched over the corpse of an unlucky gnome, he contemplated his solitary lifestyle. Everyone else in the guild seemed to have endless companions at hand. But not him. He didn't want them. Friends were a hassle.

He found a purse of gold so full it was surprising it wasn't bursting at the seems. He easily cut the cord that kept it tied to the gnome's belt, and took it for his own. This, right here, was all he needed to be content.

Sorry for the shoddy little piece of literature. But I drew the picture to kinda show off Phauren's lack of companionship. Whenever he's around others, he tends to sit back, and just watch. And if he does comment, it's usually sarcastic, or annoyed. He's addicted to bloodthistle, which only worsens his mood when he goes into withdrawals. He gets along with people ok, but none really go out of their way to talk to him, or hang with him. And he could honestly care less. He knows he's not a pleasant person to be around.

So, in the end, money is the only thing he relies on. People fail, money doesn't.
